A data platform for a charity with no data team
In deliveryUK children and families charity
The problem
Three systems that could not be reported on together, returns assembled by hand, and nobody in post to fix it.
What I did
A short paid discovery first, then a phased build with written sign-off at each stage. A lakehouse on Microsoft Fabric, automated ingestion, quality checks running before any dashboard existed, group-based access with safeguarding data held separately, and reporting embedded in the intranet staff already use. I also defined and recruited the permanent analyst role that inherits it.
Result
- Around 65% off cloud analytics capacity cost Designed
- No paid reporting licence per member of staff Designed
